Went this weekend to my local Walmart and they now have a large shelf full of model kits ! They also have some useless little watercolor looking cups of paint, and some expensive retro glue tubes, but they kits are very reasonable. The only toon kits are the Wacky racers at $15 , but there is also the Pirates of the Caribbean skeleton kits , some Star Wars stuff, the AMT Coca Cola series of kits and some stock vehicles, as well as AMT showcases. I ended up picking up the AMT 64 Cutlass and the GMC "Jimbo" Jimmy kits for $20.00 each, which is $17.00 each less than our local hobby store is selling them for.

Glad you were able to find some deals , hard to do these days . Seems every once in a while a random Walmart stocks some models but never any down here , in fact I can't remember the last time I was in a Walmart .

There are times I found quite many kits in Michaels... They do charge at normal rate. I usually use discounts to get some lower rate using coupons...
but lately they kind of slow down as I understood many companies have gone bankrupt or bought out... so fewer options or choices came in on shelves...
So E bay has choices to look for and find what you need.

Our main source of kits for many years here in my town has been Hobby Lobby .. always had a HUGE model , slot car , and train selection along with air brushes and hobby supplies .. now it’s whittling down to a 15 foot area .. our Walmart is a good size but the model selection quite honestly is crappy .. I’m glad I hoarded kits for the last 30 years and in unfortunately I’m afraid things are going to get worse before they get better . Paint supplies here are low as well . I depend on TCP Global to ship my painting supplies and I’m well stocked on other supplies like various glues and #11’s
