Picked this one up a couple of weeks ago , it's missing a few pieces but I have another incomplete one I can rob them from .  Disassembly was quick and I've gathered the missing pieces .  That old red enamel paint was pretty tough but eventually I was able to strip it clean , then all the parts were prepped and primed .   Not sure about a color yet . Red with white coves is the obvious choice , but I'm going to look around before I decide .  |

I spent a couple of days scrounging for parts to spruce up the kit engine when I came across this F.I. piece , it's from one of those "Build Your Own" diecasts and is perfect for this .  After a few modifications I added the H2O pump and pulleys .  I had to enlarge the hood opening slightly so the engine would fit . It sits lower than the kit engine but I think it looks better that way .  Time to start painting !  |

Painting is all finished . Still need to do something with the wheels & tires and make some decals .  |

This is really sizing up to be a show stopper!
I had one some years back that I had done up in Pearl Yellow with white coves, but sold it off. The included motor was to... meh.
You make me wish I knew better.
Reminds me of an Amish trivet my mom had, that said, "We grow too soon old, and too late smart".
We always read it with the odd Arte Johnson German accent (look it up kids).

Thanks Jim ! The kit engine is worse than meh so I had to change it , luckily I had the old M2 Machines kit with the FI engine . There was another engine included that I used for my Elvira's Macabre Mobile a couple years ago . |
