Go Go Godzilla -- Finished

Popped this one open as soon as it arrived. Here's a pic of a pre-paint test fit.

Fits together well. Some cleanup around the fingers and toes and filler along the inner body/belly parts.
As usual, I've closed up the wheels w/ some sheet styrene.

Quite a big boy. If he was standing, he'd be bigger than the regular Polar Lights Godzilla.
And, if he's your cup o' tea, now is a good time to pick him up.

I saw those were reissued just a couple days ago , may have to grab one this time around !

Finished: Godzilla's Go Cart!



A couple of changes.
I unmounted the goggles from his nose, added a strap and acetate lens, then set them up on the helmet.
I also added the bumper smiley faces and the rear dragonfly (baby Mothra, perhaps?)

I tried to give the cart and motor a '70s look.

The wheels were closed up and painted flat soft iron, with steel plate covers.

Wasn't happy with the plain bamboo front wheel knockoffs, so I shortened them and added the lotus blossom (or cherry blossom... your pick).
The rear wheel pagodas were done up in the style of some yard ornament version I'd seen.

All in all, really a fun piece to put together. Glad I didn't have to pay a small fortune for it !

Awesome work as always , and it didn't break the bank ! Adding a few small details and your paint work really make this on a winner !
