Here's the Airfix boxings of Daddy, the way out Suburbanite and Freddy Flameout.
Just an Airfix flash on the top left of the box to tell them from the original Hawk kits, along with Airfix branded instructions. Released in the UK by Airfix to test the waters here. I guess we were just not ready for them as they sold poorly and were only in the Airfix Catalog for a year.
The boxes above have mint and unbuilt kits in them. The built models are the much later Testors re releases, probably around 2000 or so? When they came out I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I bought the whole range and spent hours building them. I still have them all but they are now in need of a bit of renovation, the passing years havn't been kind to them. Expect a couple of renovation threads to appear from me as they get the attention they deserve.
Tony.

I was ready for them but my parents weren't! I saw them in an Airfix catalogue and dropped some broad hints about how well they'd work as a birthday present but I got a Spitfire instead. It scarred me for life, but in a good way!

Neat to see those Airfix issues of Weird-Ohs and I really like the bright colors you've used ! Looking forward to seeing those "renovations" when you get to them !
