Hello guys,
I am doing a model car building trying to catch up as I have left sitting for a while.. so I use an airbrush sprayer painting but am experiencing problems and and realized its old.
So I am looking at buying a new one, yet I am stuck with which is a good brand. I would like to hear your thoughts.
I m looking at IWATA or PAASCHE but am not sure which is good.

Well, I've used both brands over the years and, for me, there's really not much to choose between them in terms of quality. They both produce well built airbrushes in a variety of different styles (gravity feed/ vaccum feed, double/ single action etc.) - it's really a question of what you need in your building.
Also, you say your existing airbrush is old. Unless something has worn out and you can't find spares for it, age wouldn't usually finish an airbrush off - would bringing it back to life be a cheaper option?

I agree with Harley. I have quite a collection of air brushes . Single stage , 2-stage Paasche , Iwata , Badger and even some older vintage brushes.. I’ve come to use different brushes for different effect but I think it’s all in what FEELS GOOD IN YOUR HAND AND WIRKS FOR YOU. I would stay away from the $29 specials at the discount houses and I’d look for one that has multiple needles for different detail work .. a good in-line drier and pressure gauge is recommended for adjusting pressure .. I also think the compressive is a equally important. I run a Sparmax dual and have had it for over 20 years . I installed a small water trap and pressure regulator along with an in-line drier and never had any issues .. good luck on your decision !

This may be a bit late to the party.........I have a collection of air brushes but the main reason I choose the one to use is the one easiest to clean up after. Like your favorite puppy. Because the 3 I am about to name all have big NOZZLES that are easy clean, cuz you can see them. Some Iwatas you get a tiny grain of rice sized nozzle, no fun when dropped, also using that tiny wrench......ooo. Ok the top 3, Iwata Eclipse, Devilbiss DAGR, Badger Patiot. When I clean my air brushes I like to drag the needle out the front, so Badger Patriot lost his ball thingy, no big deal, just be sure to leave no burr behind. DAGR and Eclipse no problem. That is my critique. Cheers Eh !
