The Forgotten Bug Bomb

Recently I was digging through old Deal's Wheels boxes looking for parts when I came across this surprise , an old dusty Bug Bomb Survivor !
If you're like me you can remember every model you've ever built all the way back to the very first one , which is why this one is such a mystery . . . I simply don't remember a thing about it . Now I'll admit that my memory may have slipped a little but this is still pretty strange .

So here's what the Forgotten Bug Bomb looked like when I opened the box , complete but needing a little TLC .



After a good cleaning I replaced the broken axle , re-glued the Peace Van exhaust , and did a quickie lettering job on the tires so they looked there age . I finished it by brushing on a coat of Future . Now it looks better than ever ! . . . I think .

I search but they are always too much darned money. Maybe someday.

They can get pricey for sure and I feel lucky to have found this one boxed away , I get a lot of my kits piece by piece over a period of time .
Now that I think about it that may not be any cheaper than just pulling the trigger on a pricey kit !

That is true. Over time it adds up and perhaps tjat because it didnt sting so hard it seems cheaper than it is.

I have a grail kit in my stash with everything I need to build it. I slowly built the box until it was all there.

Only upon some reflection did I realize I had over 300 dollars into it.
