It's been a year since I built the "Slightly Altered" Vette Super Zinger and I always planned on building this one to go with it , but things got in the way and it never happened . . . until now ! No plans to do anything fancy here , just some paint and basic detailing .
Unlike the "Slightly Altered" which started as a glue bomb this time I have a complete unbuilt kit .
First thing I noticed was the location of the ladders hanging down and covering the sides of the truck . I filled and drilled new holes to raise the ladders into their new location , this leaves the sides visible for my new decals .
The only other thing I found that needs updating is the emergency lights , they're molded in the same yellow plastic as everything else . I just happen to have some red and clear lenses that came in the new '68 Coronet Convertible , they're almost the exact same size and should work okay .
To begin I glued together a few sub-assemblies and prepped them for paint .
On to some paint !
