1/16th scale“RACE?” Kit

Hello all … I’m letting everyone here know that after getting permission from Gerry Pitre’s family I am moving forward and I n the process of remastering the molds for this kit .. it is approx 42 pieces of high quality commercial resin and will require some sanding and fitting . It will be great quality and not a junky full of pinholes .. it will be a 1-time limited run of 20 kits . After that you’ll be hard pressed to ever find another .. this has been a long time project and a substantial investment .. the kits will weigh about 1.6 pounds as best I can estimate and will me a very unique kit that is sure to raise conversation. If anyone is interested please inbox .. there will be no pre-order exchange of currency and no kits will be sold until they are cast , cleaned up and ready for market . They will most likely ship in a plain heavy shipping box with no art work to cut down on cost . Note the buildup (green) at the bottom has a different engine and fuel tank . This was a kit bash I did about 5 years ago but wanted to give those who haven’t seen it the opportunity..

Indeed . And the cost of supplies like everything else has increased as well . I decided if I was going to do this I wasn’t cutting any corners and making them available for those chosen few ! The pics above (purple build) shows the correct engine that will be included in the fresh kit .. the green build was a kit bash of mine with a different 1/16 engine no particular reason I just decided to bash it ..

It’s great that you are doing this and I’m glad Gerry Pitre’s family gave you permission to make this kit to share with the model building community!

As of right now with all the upgrades in parts basically remastering the entire kit and cost of supplies, such as cups , gloves , mixing sticks , vacuum station ,, Commercial RTV, casting resin , mold release , kit box , and possibly box art , ect, ect projections say $350 for the 1/16 scale 1lb 6-ish ounces in weight . This far I have requests for 9 of the 20 .
