Here's a subject from a new sub-category. A Deal's Wheels Never Was Jr., the Padded Wagon !
I'm classifying it as a Junior, because it's not quite a mini (1/32), or the standard (1/24 or 1/25). Somewhere in between.
I started out with the MPC Paddy Wagon snap, not realizing it was smaller than the listed scale. Here's the patched cuts:
But no matter, I forged on.
At first, I thought a sanitarium-theme would be enough, but, that led me to a nut carrier (sorry). To that, I grew up in Wilkes Barre, PA, home of that favorite brand and iconic top-hatted mascot. I saw that guy every time I went downtown to pick up a model kit at Kresge's or Woolworth.
I had to do some creative rebranding and come up with a derivative name and new icon, you know, for legal reasons.
A side note. My nickname as a kid, derived from my last name (Garubba), was "Goober". Anyway, as always, thanks for lookin'!

Beautifully done. My hometown of New Bedford Mass also had a Kresge, Woolworth and better yet... A Mr Peanut.
The smell of fresh roasted peanuts and cashews filled the air most days. With model kit in hand I would often go get a bag of Spanish peanuts, and if I had a little more. Fresh cashews.
Wonderful memories

Thanks, guys!
I thought I'd post a side-by-side of three different scale DWNWs to explain the "Jr" designation.
From left to right: My 1/32 Surf BeetL (Lindberg 1932 Chevy Pickup conversion); the Padded Wagon (MPC Paddy Wagon Snap conversion - not quite 1/25 scale); 1/25 scale 77 cHeavy Van (from the Revell kit).
Here's links to those two builds: Surf BeetL 77 cHeavy Van
The rear wheels on the Padded Wagon are a set of resin cast Deals front wheels.

Wonderful work, thanks for sharing. By doing all these conversions how do you maintain a supply of tires and drivers ??

Wonderful work, thanks for sharing. By doing all these conversions how do you maintain a supply of tires and drivers ?? Somewhere along the way, knowing it would be an issue, I started casting wheels and heads. The tires I do in Onyx resin, even tho they usually get a coat of some cheap flat black. Casting them allows me to freely edit the width (inner and outer get super glued together).
I do have to make some Dremel adjustments to accommodate the mags and axles.
Since the heads are now resin, I can add Sculpy accents and bake them right onto the head without damage to the piece.
