Twas the night before Xmas
and at the north pole
ole santa was busy
changing spark plugs and oil.
He does it like clockwork
at the same time each year,
since he knows hot rod season
is incredibly near!
Once the presents are gone
and the reindeer are fed
he can think about cruising
in his own speedster sled.
It doesn't have wheels,
since they're useless on snow
but it does have a hemi
to make it fast go!
So when you hear Santa say
"i must go into town"
you know he'll be cruising
with an upside down frown.
And an extra can of gas!....this sled is thirsty!!
You do realize we are talking about a hot rod sled
that belongs to a happy fat man
who lives at the North Pole
who employs magical elves
and rides a flying sleigh around the world,
in one night,
pulled by magical reindeer?
This toonish snow rod was a scratch design of mine (inspired by a CGI idea I found on the Interwebs)...
so, not completely original.
I created and built a paper* model to be used as one of my annual free Holiday Models.
*(65lb cardstock)
My thinking was the Sledster would have some sort of track drive underneath.
Kind of like a snowmobile?
But I had no desire to complicate the model any further.
So, why don't we just imagine there is a little magic involved.
