This was one of my favorite builds I did as a kid and was happy to see Atlantis reissue this classic kit , and I got both Snoopy and the Baron. Unfortunately I was disappointed that it was molded in bright yellow instead of the butterscotch Monogram used ( yes, I'm that picky !) . So I found this incomplete original build up on Ebay ; most of the parts had been glued and most had been broken at one point , but I wanted to use as much original stuff as I could. I wet sanded the body to get the old glue prints off of it; Snoopy was a glued mess ; I was able to get the hard bits off and then soaked the pieces in hydrogen peroxide while sitting in the sun to bleach the white bits which worked, the upper wing was broken in half and both wing struts had to be repaired and glued in. The tail was broken, so I had to use the new kits tail, but did my best to match the paint. The decals are aftermarket replacements as the kits are stickers, and darker then the originals.( again, picky) The "Snoopy" on the sides are original. I included the baron just as I built it then, just to have the two flying together like it was 1970 again !
