Hello folks, I have not been posting much on here for a while as I have experienced many challenges for the last few years now.. and things are about to slow down slowly.... As my both parents passed away few years ago, I get to have a house to clean out and keep/rid of things.. My father had built many furnitures in entire house, admittingly about 90 percent of whole house including a house was hand built. So after new changes in technology and the tube tv is no longer in use, including tv cabinet. My father had made this cabinet and is very solid. I did not want to get rid of the cabinet so I found a creative ways to use the cabinet. I created a roll out tray and put on the level where tv once sat. When I want to do model car building, I would use this cabinet and also put in many tools, items and installed plastic drawers for tools and parts. Including the light in the cabinet... Also.. including a 19 or 24 inch tv and put it in back to hang. I can enjoy watching tv and doing the work.. Its really soo useful. When you are done with working on model and you can just slide back in and close the door to cover up the ugly mess and sitting parts on areas. IT has real advantages!! I am currently working installing things in one at a time, figuring what I would like to add in. Once I get them all set then I will photo shoot and post it up here.. in the next few months...

This is the old cabinet but in a very top shape and sharp clean. only purpose is just display things on side and nothing much. I am still cleaning and removing things left by my parents. Just that I have no purpose when the tube tv was removed. Then I added in the wooden trays and set a drawer sliders on side to slide out so I can work on it without accidently kicking my legs or foot on the lower doors. I also added in the small plastic drawers for stuff. As the drawer slides out, there's a setting for the tray drawers to set on without interfering the sliding trays. Also added lights inside and will be adding a few mini drawers on right side sometimes soon. Looking forward to creating a nice workspace. There may be some more additional to the inside cabinet, I am thinking of adding a flip down tv monitor and maybe add the paint bottle shelves on side so I can work alternatively with all mini parts and painting a few times in between... Maybe this can be an idea for your future work space.

This is a cool idea using it as a paint booth.. especially through the year of hot and cold weather. There are so many advantages to use the cabinet as this. I often see many of them selling for free to about 50 dollars in Facebook marketplaces. Many do not know the true benefits of having spaces you can use.

Great ideas guys ! Brian I really like your slide out drawer for the work space and Chuck it seems like the perfect place for a paint booth . Combining both into one cabinet would be awesome !
