Hodad making the scene with a six pack --- and more

I've heard that a Hodad was considered an uncool poser to the surf scene, but I think he was just misunderstood.
I see him as a gearhead that just wanted to be part of the Fun-in-the-Sun crowd.
So, this time out, he brought the ratrod he'd been working on since last summer.



He pieced it together using a SuperFuzz bucket, a Mr Gasser motor, and an extra set of wheels, radiator and surfboard he got in a swap with Woodie.

His mom tried her hand at making him a tye-dye cover-up.

He spent all his dough on new chrome, so he could only afford a knock-off soda brand.
(actually only 5 Burpsi, and leftover UnCoola lite)

I don't think I would have built him if not for the added rod.

A couple of other nits:
I shortened the radiator about 3/8s of an inch and moved the headlight up to make it a little different than the Woodie on Surfari.
Woodie also gave Hodad a hand (w/steering wheel)
The Garubba horn  (that's what we call em ) is from the CB Freak.
The front bumper is, of course, from a DW Peace Van.

And, since Bob brought it up, I'm sharing my art for the Surfer stickers (the "SUX-WAX" is on the board, but you can't really see it in the pics)

as well as the soda can wraps.

Well done, great color choices and concept. Was looking for Flintstoning feet underneath, just kidding. Have built some of this before and they/"all the Silly Surfers" are fun. Cheers
