I got this from Iceman Collections a few weeks ago and decided to give it a try . I've bought from him before and he does some really nice stuff . . . unfortunately this one has some warped parts . I've marked the problems with red arrows so you can see them , they actually are much worse than they appear in the photos . The chassis plate and rear window louvers are the worst . I don't plan on using the louvers and I don't really care for the way the chassis is designed so I decided not to return the kit . The chassis is designed to just have the body rest on top of it and stick out the front to look like the spoiler , but it's also visible on the sides and in the rear . Not ideal so I made a simple chassis out of sheet plastic and some rods for the axles . This took about 15 minutes and it fits snug up inside the body where it belongs . Here you can see where I cut the nose of the body , then it was pushed down to give the wheel openings the proper shape and glued in place . After sanding the hood flat you can barely tell it was warped . It's also reinforced on the inside . Since the chassis fits inside the body I added a small spoiler to the front . The rear windows were removed and I'm using a "Back To The Future" engine from an old diecast I had collecting dust . Lots of grinding to get it to fit ! Next the "C" pillars were replaced and I added some BTTF goodies to the body . And here it is . . . ready for paint !
