So, caught somewhere between late 60s Funhouse cartoon and reality (but not "Riverdale"), I bring you this version of Archie's Jalopy:

I had started this way back when I did up the Thunderbolt Grease Slapper for the Racer Contest, and then it sat off to the side.

I promised myself to clear up some of the work-in-progress stuff before starting any new ventures.

I tend to break those promises.

Started with an AMT 1927 Model T Touring kit, wedge channeling the tub and fender/frame to kick up the back side.
Wheels from a Lindberg Tall T.

You also just got a glimpse of the parking brake (cinderblock

)
Painted up as dulled/dirty yellow and red to mimic the cartoon, though in the comic books it was usually all red.

Aah, Saturday mornings when kids controlled the TV ...

I had planned to make it a old jalopy from the get-go, so why not do it up as Archie's car. I was never gonna afford that Aurora kit version anyway (outragious ), so I made my own.
