I picked up one of these on the way home last night. After some slicing, today it looks like this: I think it will fit right in to the Never Was line! After shortening the body, I removed the original roof ridges and then re-applied them using some half-round. When I altered the cab interior, I tried to keep the console intact:

Reworked the chassis to tuck the wheels further in and painted it (flat black, bronze overspray, some silver scrubbing). Can't imagine anyone actually mounting the rear springs on the gas tank, but... hey.... it was all about the stance. Got primer on the interior and driver. The body got its first coat of powder blue (light pearl in there as well). Didn't want to build tubs, but I might have to close up those rear wheel wells

Instead of tubs you could take some flat sheet plastic and cut a half circle that fits the wheel well and glues to the frame. Thats what I had to do to my 49 Ford DW never was build. After its painted black you wont notice it

Right after I posted the pics, I popped off the rear bed and glued in two slats between it and the chassis to act as "fake" tubs... essentially just to block the view-thru to the other side. Didn't even bother to curve them. ;D

Well, Muscle Mike and the interior to his Custom Cruzer are pretty much all set. Have to wait for the finish to cure on the body before I even think about pulling it all together! ;D
