[glow=red,2,300]GOT PRIMER!!![/glow] Finally got the body nice & smooth, so I applied a few coats of Filler/Primer. I decided to remove the last of the front wheel bumps so I marked the areas for removal... I cut off most of the excess plastic and then I used a sanding block to get the areas flat.... I cut 2 pieces of plastic to fill the areas and 2 more to fill the small triangular holes, then I glued them in and sanded them smooth.

[glow=red,2,300]ROUNDING THE REAR!!![/glow] I cut the back of the AeroTrec off straight but I didn't like the look so I used a bowl and drew a nice curve for the rear. Here it is after a little cutting and sanding... I cut 8 lengths of 1/4" aluminum tubing, sanded and polished them, then glued them together as shown... These are the exhausts, more photos later...

[glow=red,2,300]GETTING READY FOR SOME COLOR!!![/glow] I added Landing Gear from the AMT X-Wing Fighter Kit. The body is now nice and smooth, ready for paint... I cut a piece of sheet plastic to be the back of the interior and glued it in place. The black areas were an experiment that went wrong. I painted the body with a Candy Blue, then there were drips and then I grabbed it and left fingerprints in the paint. So now I have to repaint the AreoTrec... More Coming...

[glow=red,2,300]GOT PAINT!!![/glow] I repainted the AeroTrec, first with a Black Undercoat, then with a few coats of Testors Lime Ice Paint. This left some Black in the Intakes, for added depth. I used 2 sets of Tuner Tribal Flames on the sides. One set on the rear sides, then the second set cut short and turned upside down on the front sides. The Tribal Flames on the top and bottom are from a 12th scale Revell Chopper. Three coats of clear finished the job!

[glow=red,2,300]INTERIOR PANELS...[/glow] I cut 2 pieces of plastic, and beveled the top edges, to make the side panels in the interior. I also cut 2 more strips of plastic to "Back" the 2 front vents... Next I glued the underside Access Panel in place and then used Elmers White Glue on the interior joints. The interior was then painted flat black. More Coming...

[glow=red,2,300]ROBO-PILOT!!![/glow] I used the driver from a Monogram Stinger Dragster for AeroTrec. I carved down the fire mask to look more like a Sci Fi Helmet. I did the Tribal Flames on the helmet with a Sharpie. The idea for these Anti Gravity Racers comes from a Video Game so I decided that the Pilot will control the AeroTrec with a Video Game Controller! The last photo showed a big chip in the Bubbletop. I covered it with a NASCAR Decal. [glow=red,2,300]AEROTREC IS FINISHED!!![/glow] Finished Photos Coming...
