Now How do I toon these new kits? ? ?

I belong to a local model club - airplanes mostly. . . and they had their auction tonight. . . a first for me . . .and I'm one of the few car guys in the club AND THE ONLY SHOWROD-TOON GUY, but they still accept me. I show them my wild builds and custom things. . . I was thinking there might be some of our kits these guys didn't want. . . . It is a fun group of builders. . .and really good builders.

So this auction had some killer kits. . . three tables stacked about three feet tall. Some kits I have never seen before. . . and some high end kits. . . like retail $500 uboats, brass and wood ship sections. All sorts of planes and some military. Every scale you could thing of. . .. And some cars. . .

THere was one guy there with his grandson. . . he was about 5 years old. . and that kid had a bidding number. . .and bought a ton of kits. . . it was fun to watch. They had to leave with about 30 kits. . . towards the end grandpa limited him to $3 or less. . .and alot of the oddballs and unwanted went home with them.

So my wife will have me sleeping in the chicken coop . . .but still some wild plastic.

Do a search on IRA on this site and on the coffin corner site. That will get you started with ideas. His truck and Falcon thread pictures have lots of info. It looks to me like that he can cut them up with the best.

Shortening them up and ding silly things like bending the barrel on the tank(s) .. shorten the roofs, and decrease the length of the cars then upscale the tires .. all kinds of cool stuff there Dan !
