Beautiful, cannot wait to see it done! A month ago I saw in a show/contest a diorama about a band, and they used Christmas light, the results was very cool. Here a picture.

any way you can tell us how you made the drum set and the drummer? like to try that myself. So I guess we work here as best possible. I am attaching 3 pics. I show the drummer barely parking his butt on his stool, his feet are busy with the high hat cymbals and the base drum. His arms and hands were repositioned to hold drum sticks instead of a banjo. The stool was kitbashed from 1/8 inch plastic rod 1 and 5/8 inch long and 3 angle pieces, the seat is three 3/4 inch diameter buttons stacked. The floor tom next to drummer's right knee is a plastic tube, probably a pharmacy pill container 1 1/2 inch diameter and 1 1/2 inch high, 3 finishing nails hold it up. Base drum is 2 3/8 inch diameter by 1 1/4 thick, snare is 1 1/2 inch diameter by 1/2 inch thick and the two top toms are 1 inch diameter by 7/8 thick. Finnish is fine red Christmas glitter glued on with Weldbond white glue, then clear coated, some parts are aluminum or Alclad chrome finished. Large 1 1/2 inch brass cymbals from bead store as was cow bell.

I will post some photos as requested, I guess P.....bucket has them an I will not be ransomed. So I guess I will end up reposting my old builds to fill the void. I really like the animation of these figures especially the way the way blondie shakes her tail feathers. The figures were painted in acrylics, acrylics as base coats with oils to finish. I added jewelry to the girls and flapping neck ties on some guys. The stage is old 45 RPM records pancaked into one piece for the band to play on. Some of the wiring is old telephone and other is lead wire from fishing tackle store. Cheers Gord

Being a 40+ year studio and cover band drummer I want to say this - you flat nailed the drummer and his kit to the wall.. !! The entire kit from the hardware , drum throne, ride toms ..etc.. looks spot on !! I got a big charge out of this !! Kudos buddy !!

I do not play any musical instruments but love music and building this band had me visit Long and McQuade (a music store) and measure a few drum kits to get feeling for the proportions. Thanks for the compliment, from a real drummer, wow !!

I still think this is one of the most incredible models ever built. I study it over and over again.
