I've been gone from the forums for a while and just wanted to say " Hey " to everyone ! From the looks of things it's been slow here just like most of the other forums I visit . . . maybe we can turn things around . I'm working on my entry for the CCR contest again and I plan on finishing up my DW - Bandit One build and getting some photos posted here ! Let's everybody build at least one " Car-Toon " this year !!  |

it's been a brutal winter for sure.. especially here in the Midwest.. "life" has taken priority but I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel ! .. I too participated in the CCR contest and I'm trying to finish a few other promised projects.. I will commit to building at least 2 Car-toon cars this year for sure maybe more! ..

Brutal winter for sure ! By the way, its snowing outside again- the weatherman said this is the twelve snowstorm to hit us this month . Ive got a couple builds going, two are possible CCR entries, and one is a grail for me .I hope to finish these up by the end of the month !

I haven't had time to build for a while. I have a few ideas for toon builds and I'm trin' to get back to it. I checked the forum to help get me goin' and you guys are in the same boat. Toold's "at least one toon build" statement is great and may just be what I need to get back to buildin'
I haven't been on any of the model forums either. What is the CCR contest?

Hey Smokey , glad to see you around here again ! It has been hard the last few months for a lot of people to sit down and get into building anything , so I feel a "One Car - Toon " commitment is a good way to get things going again . Surely you can use another VW Van in your collection !! I really love the one you are using for your avatar ! The CCR contest is the " Coffin Corner Revival " contest which is going on right now for the same reason , trying to jump start the creative juices and bring the forum back to life !  See ya around ! Hey you all guys, I do feel the same... I have built one or two but been putting off on posting up pics.. and they re not related to this one in forum.. mostly stock kits and realistic model car.. also I built the background I can use for photographing them . Right now I have started one kit which is a DW 57 chevy... but is in half way. Had to hold that off because I have to do a project for an university, doing the painting.. so it takes alot of my time and my energy. I work night shifts and come home to take care of kids and stuff.. ugh
So winter is a brutal one this year, well since last year.. , so I am kind of looking forward for it to end.. i feel its time to end the cabin fever.. LOL I work stuff in basement and a lot of times I had to wear sweaters or something to keep warm but not always convenient. OH well.. the spring is about come soon... meaning a lot of work on yard.... not looking forward to that, oh well thats life.
Thanks for starting a fire here on this chat and hopefully something more coming soon .

awe geez fellas .. it's that time of year ya know ? everybody is in a funk (in the mid west anyway) with the weather or other projects.. that's what is so wonderful about this board .. NOBODY HAS TO BUILD UNLESS THEY WANT... we all come and go at our leisure .. how cool !.. I'm sure everyone of us will finish at least 1 new car-toon build this year.. except of course for Ira who will build rings around us all ...Ha!! (just kidding)... no pressure on anybody just build or post at your convenience and don't feel like you "have" to build... just grab kit and glue when the urges strikes ,,,, we will be waiting !!
