FIRE FROG!Fire Frog will be a Futuristic Style Dune Buggy. It is made from the Gran Turismo and the Moon Scope Kits.  I started by narrowing the Gran Turismo Body. I took out about an inch from the front and tapered the cut to about 1/8th inch in the rear. I used a Cut-Off Wheel in a Dremel Tool to do the cutting.  Then I glued the Body halves back together with Zap-A-Gap, Green Label.  More Coming...

BOTTOM HALF!I narrowed the front end the match the Top Body Half.  Then I glued the Rear Body Sections in place.  Here are both Sections glued in place.  Then I glued the Side Sections in place.  More Coming...

HERE WE GO!I started fitting the Moon Scope Body Sides to the Gran Turismo Wheel Wells. When I got an idea how the bodies would fit together, I marked the Moon Scope Front Underside for cutting.  I cut along the lines with a cut-off wheel in a Dremel Tool.  More Coming...

GRAN MOON!Starting to mix The Gran Turismo and Moon Scope parts together! I have been fitting the Moon Scope front section into the Gran Turismo Front Wheel Wells. I got a pretty good idea where it would fit so I marked the spots. Then I made a file card template of the top of the wheel wells. Next I transferred the template shape to plastic.  Then I glued the Wheel Well Fillers in place.  Before I glued the Moon Scope Section in place I added a 1/16th " length of strip plastic, because the Filler was a little too small. Here is the Moon Scope Section glued to the Gran Turismo Body.  More Coming...

NOW FOR THE REAR!I am fitting the Rear Parts in the same way as I did with the Front Parts. Here is the Rear Wheel Well Filler in place and the Moonscope sides have been marked.  Cut out the Rear Moonscope sides.  Here are both of the front and rear Moonscope sides in place.  Top View!  More Coming...

FIRE FROG NEEDS A V8!Decided on a Revell 2006 Mustang GT Engine, so I'm going to need to mount a radiator somewhere. The opening in the rear is the perfect size, it just needs a few strips of plastic to make it work. I traced the inside edge of the rear on a strip of plastic.  Then I cut out the shape and glued it in place.  Next I added a strip of plastic to extend the Roll pan.  More Coming...

MORE ROLL PAN!I added another strip of plastic to bring the edge of the Roll Pan up a bit.  Then I added another plastic strip to the Roll Pan, connecting the Moonscope Rear Sides to the Roll Pan.  More Coming...

SMOOTHING...Here is the underside of the body, after a little sanding.  Then I applied Squadron White Putty and dried in a dehydrator for a while.  A little more Sanding and it is ready for the Screen.  More Coming...

WHERE ARE THE PLUGS?I found a Real Nice V-8 Engine in the Revell 2006 Mustang GT Kit.  The Engine looks great it is molded in 3 colors. I decided to paint the Engine over with Tamiya Silver Leaf and Model Masters Magnesium.  Here is the Engine glued together. I put one coat of Vallejo Paints Brass on the Valve Covers, one more coat should be enough. I was going to add Spark Plug Lines but I haven't found were all the lines go yet. Looks like the Spark Plugs go in the indentations in the tops of the Valve Covers, but I haven't found a Distributor or Spark Box yet... Anyone know where the Spark Plug Lines Go?  More Coming...

FROG SCREEN!I bought this Splatter Screen at the Dollar Store. It makes Great Screen for Models.  I cut a piece a little larger than the opening. Then I fit it in place and pushed the screen into the opening a little and then I flattened the screen down around the opening. Next I put some Zap-A-Gap around the edges to hold it in place. I also sprinkled some baking powder over the wet glue to hold the screen better.  More Coming...

INTERIOR PANELS!I cut two pieces of sheet plastic to fill the sides of the interior. This gives me a flat area for the doors.  Here are the Panels in place. Notice how the Panels fit flush with the door edges.  More Coming...

FROG FIREWALL!I made a Paper Template for the Firewall. Then I traced the shape to a piece of plastic and cut it out.  After some Fitting & Trimming, here it is in place.  Under View!  More Coming...
