Tom: "Dave, how would you re-imagine one of my kits?" Dave: "Well, something comes to mind, but like any of the DW Revell pieces, I'd have to begin by reworking something already produced." And so...... The Deal's Wheels Never Was: Crab Daddy!I wanted to do something different with the reissue of the Glitter Bug, and this is where I ended up. The body was modified with sheet styrene for the side panels and spoiler, and styrene goop was used for filling and shaping the front end. Rear wheels from a 4WD toy (fronts, hubs and lights from the parts bin), and pen bits for the twin exhausts. The windshield was chopped and got some clear green tinting. Painted Sublime Green (as close as I could get locally to Sand Crab green) with Zinger and VW decals under clear coat. Displayed on a sandy Sculpy base. Side-by-side with a Dune Daddy version of the Lil Van, and an original club issue Glitter Bug. Thanks for looking!
