I did a lot of filling and sanding today and it's finally starting to look like a Camaro , I was a little worried for a while ! And the DW windshield had to go . . . it just didn't look right to me . I'm going to use the windshield and cowl from the convertible body but it was a bit too wide , so I removed 1/8" from it . I also scrapped the first hood and used the hood from the blue body . It is shortened by 1/4" along the front edge . Here's the hood and windshield set in place ! Still a lot of work to do on the front , I want to enlarge the flares and the body crease that extends back thru the door area . Here's a peek at the wheels and tires I'm going to use . These are the tires . . . . . . and these Rallye wheels came in the mail today !

Very nice Thanks buddy ! I used some CA glue and small strips of styrene to add to the front flares . A little putty and they should be okay ! I glued the Camaro rear panel on and cut it off 3 times before before I got it where it looked decent . It hasn't been sanded in these photos but you can see the general idea . I'll add the spoiler after all of the body work is finished .

Lovin' it!
Got any more details to share, regarding your "digital workbench" process? Any tips to offer there? Or an idea of how long you spend at that; where you start ... or whatever?

Thanks Pat and Ira ! Lovin' it! Got any more details to share, regarding your "digital workbench" process? Any tips to offer there? Or an idea of how long you spend at that; where you start ... or whatever? It's not that hard to do but it's hard to explain . Basically I took photos of both bodies , resized them , and converted them to black and white . Then I used a "free" program called Paint.net to create the new image , if you look close you can see it was cut in sections and pieced together . It's pretty simple but takes some time to learn the program . I spent maybe 45 minutes on this one . This is what I started with .

I finished most of the body work today . It's lost that Deal's Wheels look . . . looks more like a Camaro-Vette or Cor-maro ! Not exactly what I had planned but once the spoilers are on and it's painted it should work .
