Here is a rare kit for you all to check out. In 1962 Airfix bought the Kitmaster line of model molds from the model company Rosebud. Included in that purchase was Rosebud's 1/16 scale 1961 Ariel Arrow Super Sport motorcycle. A few years later they bought the rights to two of HAWK's Weird-ohs - Daddy and Freddy Flame out. To round out their new line of Krazy Karacters they actually tooled up the Weird-oh style Ton Up Tony figure to fit the Ariel motorcycle. So this is the only Weird-oh truly made and designed in the UK. It was not sold in the US. You can see by looking at the contents that the figure is white plastic which was added to the motorcycle kit that they already had. The Ariel is stock and only the figure is tooned. The box is quite small - 9" long unlike the other two which were the regular Weird-oh boxes and box art but with AIRFIX logo replacing the HAWK logo. The Ton Up is Airfix kit#331, Daddy was #531 and Freddy was #532 . Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Yes - it is quite rare to say the least. You can only find them in the UK. I doubt there are very many here in the states. I have always loved Weird-oh type kits so I found out about this through my researches. I got mine many years ago from a lady in England. Mine is just as it came from the store shelves although the decals are getting on in age! Like Japan kits - they were not sealed with cellophane or tape. Last one I saw was on ebay but it was a very poor built-up. There is a good picture of it in the book called "Airfix Celebrating 50 years of the greatest plastic kits in the world" published in 1999. And a great pic of the Ariel in the book called " Classic Kits" both by Arthur Ward. You can find pix of the two Weird-oh kits that were rebadged on the internet if you really look hard.
