Is there a specific die cast thread any where here? There sure are lots of cool wild cartoon-type weird-oh die cast that I know of. Here is the only Dave Deal car that was not based on a Revell kit. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

I've seen the first one before , isn't it made by a company in France ? Pretty cool .
Never seen the Matchbox ones before but not surprised since Mattel did some "Tooned" Hot Wheels cars !

Yep - the Citroen was a French made die cast and it was heavy! There are tons of great tooned die cast in 1/64 but these are the only ones with figures I have found. If anyone knows of others - let me know.

These were made by Politoy, an Italian company . I'm not sure if they had Daves permission to make them , as most of the diecasts are near exact copies of the models that were out around the same time . I have a Politoy version of the Swine Hunt in my collection . Look up Tre's Deals Wheels website ; he has more pictures of these .

There's a Hot Wheels car out now with a small figure of Snoopy, sitting on a dog house ... which is in turn sitting on a chassis with four wheels and a chromed, blown V-8 engine. Snoopy's got his arms out, as if gripping the gun handles on machine guns, on his pretend WWI aircraft.

There were also these Hot Wheels from many years ago . Kind of unusual , I don't remember ever seeing them in stores .

Yea Don you are right - Politoys. For some reason because the car was a Citroen I thought it was French. Here is what Tres says: the Citroen. The driver's head was not designed by Mr. Deal, he said the Italians added that themselves. The driver is a Frenchman with a beret and does not look as good as the heads that Deal slaved over to get just right. Also, Mr. Deal was not happy with the stance of the car, it was supposed to have a more raked stance. That aside, this is a very cool looking car with a sunroof that flips open! Oh yea Tooold - I forgot all about those HW's. They were quite large from what I remember - maybe 1/43 scale?

Hot Wheel's Tooned series has many cars inspired by Dave's work.

Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment DeletedYea - I got a bunch of those Tooned series Hot Wheels but I was looking for die cast with figures in them. Like the two Matchbox that were pictured earlier. There is also the whole JADA line of tooned cars which are very cool but - no figures. Both are great for wheels and custom projects. Politoys also has 1/64 scale tooned cars but they are hard to find. The green Politoys Mini shown has wheels from a HW. The VW is a Japanese tooned diecast and has wheels from a tooned series HW and a stinger exhaust pipe. The last two VW's are just some strange tooned veedubs I found at swap meets.

The first batch does not have figures but you can't get much more tooned than these squished cars.
The other two are just some more weird cars I ran across. The pink caddy is a pen.Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted
