Just finished this an hour ago. Box stock except the base. Every single joint on this bot is articulated for some reason so it is a major pain to put together and to stay upright.  |

That looks like the kind of robot the Japanese would've come up with back in the 60's (remember Gigantor ?). So if you touch it does it collapse into itself ?  |

Yea I know Gigantor - as Tetsujin 28. I even have the real-action movie starring him. Seems all the Japanese robots are quite large.
This guy's joints only move about 3/8 of an inch each so it is just enough to make him very wobbly and have no support. I have the feet pinned to the base and he has to have one hand touching the ground or he can not stand. There was really no need to make the legs articulated. The waist gives way too much movement as it is. |
