Thanks Bubba, I have the power tools, etc. for use on my large scale stuff but don't usually use them for this type work. The dog and Tex are done with carving tools small files, modeling tools, sand paper and so on by hand. I'm not saying you shouldn't use power tools, if the Dremel approach works for you go for it. I would however recommend that if you don't already have a flexible drive cable for it you might want to consider one. Makes the tool much easier to control if you're not holding the motor itself. the dremel sits under my desk and has a flex shaft attached...i mostly use it to drill out rivets on die cast i work on but now i think i have found a new use for it..once again tanks for the info...ole yellow( only dog i can remember the name of ) came out superbly.

Unfortunately, (although almost done) I'm not going to have to time to finish up the base for this 'toon by the contest deadline. The base is an integral part of this build and I don't want to call it "finished" without it.
Apologies, but I will post pics of the finished model in the "finished 'toon" section when complete.

Gang, thank you for all your much appreciated comments on this build........and now for an update.......
It's going to it's "new" owner for finish detailing and final assembly. No worries about it just disappearing into cyber space as the new owner is a long time member of this forum and I'm sure he's going to be around for quite some time.
