I just received an email from cartoonsmag.com looks like the magazine is being published again...any info on this? $55 and change for a year. thanks |

A few months ago there was a "Crowdfunding" campaign by Marc Methot to help bring the magazine back but it didn't do very well .

I've been following this since the first of the year and know that George Trosley is signed on to do artwork but I don't know how close Marc is to actually having the magazine published . I did preorder a trial issue but don't plan on throwing away fifty-some dollars to subscribe to a magazine that doesn't exist yet and that we may never see . I hope I'm wrong .

I'm with you bob...i'm not even sure i want to toss $8.00 at it for 1 copy...i think i'll wait until it is published...and its only bi monthly... 6 issues for $55 seems high to me

It is a ton of work putting a magazine together properly. Writing copy, creating imagery, refinement and then design and layout. Then press ready, proofing and printing and then mailing it out! WOW Is it printed or E-pub? (Electronic publication)

(Electronic publication) GB barten according to the website..it's going to be both...don't quote me but i think it was $39 for the E pub and $55 for both print and e pub subscriptions. |

Okay guys , I'm always skeptical about rumors like this but I've received my digital copy of the Trial Issue and all I can say is WOW ! It's 68 pages of some beautifully done , much improved since the old days , artwork ! Both George Trosley and Fred Boatman are there along with many other talented artists . If you haven't decided yet I'd suggest buying the digital trial issue for $3.95 and see for yourself . cartoonsmag.com/I'd show more of it here but I'm sure there are some copyright issues involved , I think the cover and Table of Contents should be okay .    |
