well ...i'm not sure if this qualifies as a toon or a show rod or something in between...I'm hoping it falls into a crack here .if by chance this does not fit the builds here i'll happily delete this thread.



i was surfing around flea bay the other day and happen to see this model and fell head over heels for it...i had to have it!! buy it now option and i did..woot woot   it arrived yesterday and i couldn't wait to open the box..it is loaded with decals and multi colored glass to choose from..it is SOOOOO COOOL ...can't wait to start it..now to choose the color palette ? any suggestions? the gears are turning for a display for it...i'm thinking about aged copper and brass...maybe a bit steampunky .

That's definitely a cool little kit ! I had to double check and it's a Show Rod , it's one of the 275 kits on Dave's Official list .

However , you're in the Steampunk section and that seems to be a gray area that I'm not very familiar with . . .

Hey buddy, put some rivets on it, some brass paint, cotton in the exhaust like a cracked head leaking water which will make steam & yea got a Steampunker. Kool & LOL.

As long as it's used for a steampunk project done Steampunk style I have no issues.. We just do not want a stream of "Showrods" on out toon site... Initially we were a "toon only" site... Then opened up to steampunk... Now a Showrod conversion ... See where I'm coming from ??

 It's all good... i have no problem at all with keeping to the rules... i honestly was not sure if this fell into the toon category or not. just  a bit confused...i have 2 other weird oh kits to build ..thanks for the clarification

I can see it being a great parts kit Joe !! Especially for steampunk projects and the masterful way you have of disguising parts and pieces !! Especially the vertical tank !!
