Working on a monster in a hot rod and I have all the parts needed except wheels to fit these unknown slicks. They are 1 7/8" Dia. The inside hole is 1" and to the edges of the inside bead is 1 1/8". They are not "rubber" either. They are like a hard toy-like vinyl and are hollow. They say Racemaster Dragster M&H Tire Co. 8.00 - 15. I do not have a lathe so making something that fits is out. They seems the tire used on the Lindberg Luv Buggy in 1/12. I used it as parts donor for other project, but I should have the wheels and tires. I will check if they are 8.00-15 and let you know if I have the wheels.

Yea - I have the R&R catalog from not too long ago but nothing so far seems to fit this big tire.

I check the tires from the Luv Buggy, and thery are not the same. front and rear are Firestone brand, and the size branded on them are: 8.70-15 for the front, and 10.00-15 for the rear.

Could these possibly be from the early 20th scale Monogram kits ?

I think they must be from a toy as they are hollow but solid on the outside - in other words they look like they were two parts but heat sealed together. Kinda of like those old wax molding machines did way back in the 50's. There is a tiny hole on the side that air must have been pumped in during the molding process.
Not to worry as I could not wait any longer so I started my project using some other tall tires. Not as cool as these would have been but good enough.
