I've been cuttin' on another project and figured as long as I had my razor saw in hand I'd cut up the Macabre Mobile ! First order of business is to glue the hood and doors shut . Here I've taped the sections to be removed . And the shortened body . I actually did this before when converting a 4-seat Bird to a 2-seater , but not quite this short ! I bought these wheels & tires a year ago for another project that never happened . . . They look like they'll work on this one ! Still lots of cuttin' to do as the body is still too wide . Stay Tooned .

That is going to look sweet. Are those wheels and tires 1/18 scale. Do you have a part number for them.

Figured I better get going on this if I'm to have any chance of finishing it ! I rummaged around this morning and found some extra Deal's Wheels parts that should work . And I have these two engines (no idea what they're from), think I'll try one of them in the Macabre Mobile . Some trimming here and there , a stretch of the wheelbase , and it fits like a glove . Some simple axles out of tubing and it's ready to go . . . . . . to go up on all fours ! That's the easy part , now for the hard part . This is Elvira , I bought a resin kit a coupe of years ago and it came with an extra body . . . who knows why . I've already cut her in half , now I have to reshape and relocate both arms so she's driving her car . This might be more than I expected so I'm doing it next before I waste a bunch of time working on the car . We'll see how it goes .

So both arms have been cut off and Elvira is positioned down into the interior . The plan is one hand on the steering wheel and the other up on the shifter a la Mr. Gasser , the arms are in that general position so maybe this won't be too bad . I cut both arms at the elbows and wrists , pinned them together with some wire , and after bending to shape I dripped some ca glue into the joints . That actually was pretty easy ! Some filler and some finishing work and Elvira will be ready to Rock & Roll !
