Created a shadow base for the build:
Coated with that Testors CreateFX Black.
My least favorite part of building a classic style Batmobile... the pinstriping.
Gave up on the decals from the Polar Lights donor (orange, not red) and went with narrow strips of 3M plastic tape and red enamel touch ups, under gloss coats.
The headlights are from the Gasser,. Just cut in half, they fit right in.
Almost there.
The BatManiac is all painted up, and I'm working through some nits and details on his ride. |

Loving this whole build! You make it look easy to find shapes that work well together ... even though it's not easy!

Decided to go Snapper style on the wheels, so I needed to cast some up:
Backs from the Street Cleaner, fronts from the Super Taxi (they're a meatier than the Cleaner's).
 They look great ‘cause you’re a snappy guy ! Gotta love those legos .. I’ve hit yard sales over the past several years and bought oodles for cheap .. take out what I need and donate the rest to a local charity .. great work buddy ! |

I really am missing out just simply building kits. I see it takes more to stand out.
