Nice job Tim and, a question if I may, does anyone know why the screen wasn't moulded symmetrically? It's bugged me both times I've built this kit and I imagine if anyone knows the answer, they'll be hanging around here!

It's bugged me both times I've built this kit and I imagine if anyone knows the answer, they'll be hanging around here! The only thing I can think of is that the guy that whittled the master tried to add the feel of "speed" to it like Dave's artwork . . . didn't work .

Combine a Zzzzz28 and a '70 Mustang body with lots of cuttin' and gluein', paint it Grabber Orange with custom decals , add Minilite wheels from a diecast , and Dave Deal's cousin George as the driver , and you have . . . . . . THE BOSS
Absolutely stunning Bob !

Crazy Ken Carter is FINISHED, or I am finished with Mr Sunshine.... π..... whatever- it's time for pictures of Go Kartings' Golden Boy, so π Here he is on his little track section base. My favorite shot of Ken here.... ππ Back on track here, and a very unintended cool optical illusion- the stripes on the guardrail looking checkerboard! The Pigeon Cam shot.... I tried to make the base somewhat actual WeirdOh Kit correct simple. Foamboard base, brown craft paper track, posterboard grass and guardrail, old tires made from meat tray foam... Closer up view of Ken's engine.... Stinger muffler, HOT BOX ignition, COOL CUBE wireless carb, lightweight BALSA BLOCK, Red Hot cylinder, FASTNASTY chain, One Pull start.. Burt Munro Memorial gas tank cork.... And Ken- Go Kartings' #1 racer at work. All WIP and finished pictures here: public.fotki.com/JohnFleischman/weirdoh-type-models-/crazee-ken-carter/#mediaAs always, a fun time, this contest build. Thanks everyoneπ

This started as a Deals Wheels Glitter Bug kit which I modified the driver, decals, German helmet and I wired the engine. I scratch built the snake and buzzard out of wire and black Crayola clay and the saguaro cactus from wooden dowels and did a bit of light weathering with the desert base. These are the mandatory three pictures that are allowed here for the group build and the rest will be in a finished build thread here: car-toons.proboards.com/thread/1913/baja-cartoon-build-toons-contest . Thanks for letting me play, it was a blast! I hope you like it!!!
