[glow=red,2,300]WHERE'S THE MuD? [/glow] Getting ready for a MuD Bath! I made a half circle of Masking Material and put it on the Windshield. I'll take it off after we go through the MuD, and it should leave a Nice Clean area that the Wiper cleaned off! I also cut a strip of brass screen and put in in the Roof Scoop...

This build is awesome and did gave a good warning to jackrabbits down the road and they are gone. how about if you add some details on the rim of the wheels... maybe darkening the lips of inner mag wheels to show out the nuts better..? Just a penny thought

[glow=red,2,300]MUD TIME!!![/glow] I made a holder with a Coat Hanger. I bent the Hanger to the width of the axles then cut off the wire ends. The ends slip into the axles and I used masking tape on the ends so the body wouldn't slide off... I used 5 cans of spray paint for the Mud. 3 cans of Flat Brown in different shades, Dullcote & Testors Clear Gloss. I started with the Dullcote and sprayed a mist coat over the whole body, to look like spots of Mud & Muddy Water. Then I sprayed the Light Brown from underneath to replicate the Mud coming from the Tires. Next I used the Medium Brown and sprayed from the bottom again, but a little heavier this time. Brown was the final color and it was sprayed into the wheel wells and then lightly on the body. A mist of Testors Clear Gloss was sprayed over the whole body, to look like Wet Muddy Water. I made the axles from Plastic tubing with Piano Wire inside. Cool Willy tried to drive the Mud Bug off the table, so I glued the wheels in place, no more rolling off the cliff! More MUD Coming...
