Presenting the DWNW Ferd Mussedtang:
Revell had released a Mustang as a funny car by Dave Deal (the Ferd Phony Car), which I would consider a stylized version (like most funny cars) of a street rod.
So, I thought I'd fill the gap.
Okay, so I like to be a cut-up This is a kitbashed Revell 1968 Mustang GT. Chopped and re-stitched body, with resin cast wheels and driver. Painted a custom mix pearl blue (easy on the pearl) under gloss coat, with flat black hood stripe and spoiler.
Mags and side pipes from the parts bin.
Thanks for lookin' in!

Thanks, fellas.
After looking at the posted shots, I decided to adjust the stance of the rear wheels. Although reminiscent of the original Deals Wheels, I felt they needed to be tucked under a bit. Here's how it stands after carving out some space in the frame.
It just feels more natural to me.
I know, really? A second set of pics? Sheesh! Well, thanks for putting up with me!

Damn that is Badass!
I want to do this! Do you have process pix? I am NOT good at cutting things up like this. I can paint em up, but all this cutting is above my pay grade.

Here's the work link: Musssedtang WIP They are pretty straight forward cuts on the body. I've added some diagrams. I just use cuts of masking tape to help keep them even and inline on both sides. Straight cuts are made with a standard model saw. The curvier areas are dremeled out. On the hood, I used the spare hood (comes with that kit) as a tracing/cutting guide to trim off the back portion of the hood I did use.
