That Impala is beautiful, did you painted? No,sir.. I didn't paint this one ... I do a trade out with a friend 3 hours away... I do his suspension, brake and differential work.. He does my paint & body work !! There's a ton of detailing in the paint... Lace panels, and roof... With a touch of,flake over the roof.. Air brushed "fish scales" on the trunk with House of Kolors accents... Even a little hand painted striping on the hood and trunk... The pics do not show, the level of detail..

Even if they don't show all of it, the pics certainly imply the level of detail in that paint job! Gorgeous job!

You can see the detail and the quality of the work, probably regular picture would show it more, still a beautiful job and I really like the contrast between the white and the other colors.

I'm back to buildin'... While not havin' time to build I gathered up some 1/20,1/18, etc small block Chevy engines for converting the Roarin' Rail Hemi in the boat to a Chevy. I just wasn't happy with any of them so I made a 283 head, finned valve cover and modified the block. The valve cover is made up of different widths of .040" Evergreen strips. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted Then I ran out of time again. Then on the 12th I have a mild heart attack, get a stent and recovery time. Here is a picture of the valve cover jig, molds and the first castings from them. I'm doin' great with no heart damage and the other vessels look good. I have family history of heart issues and I'm glad that this was not the big one. 'Cause I have more toons to build...

I drug the boat back out. I need to keep goin' on this thing... I'm usin' the engine from the Roarin' Rail that I converted to a small block Chevy. I took the taper out of the blower and cast a few of them. The exhaust in the picture are just stubs that bigger diameter tubes slide over.

Thanks guys..Paint is my issue that I struggle with. By the time that I get to the paintin' part of the build I'm already thinkin' about the next build. Bein' limited on time and a good place to paint I hurry the paintin' process. Now with the spray booth and airbrush I can do better with the paintin'. I like the fabricatin'and modifin' part way too much. I need to get more comfortable with paintin'. All of you folks inspire my to do better. Thank you all,Smokey
