Actually it's a Funster that I acquired from our fearless leader ! Some of you might remember I had this on my bench a couple of years ago , but it got shoved in a corner and completely forgotten about . So I decided this is the perfect time to dust it off and get to work . It's incomplete so I'll be scratchbuilding quite a bit ! I also picked up these diecast parts a couple of years ago to use on it . Like some of you I'm short on time right now so there may not be any progress right away , but I expect that to change in a few weeks and the dust will start flying and paint fumes will fill the air !

Me too! It's gonna kick butt! Got any ideas on paint yet ... or is that a "down the road" thing?

The beast!! I like the parts you substituted for the missing goodies Bob !! Thanks Chuck ! The only thing I'm sure of is the rear tires , the front and the engine might get changed .

So I'm not the only one that starts with the tires... Absolutely , I always spend lots of time finding the wheels and tires for a model , whether it's a Toon or any other type of build . I've always thought that the wheel & tire combination can make or break the look of any model .

Are you sitting down ? I'm actually working on something !! 8 p.m. on Sunday night and I got the urge to start messing with stuff . . . go figure . After being away from the bench for almost two months it's been hard to get motivated ! So I started by seeing if I could fit the engine into the frame , clipped off the top of the shock mounts , and when I put the engine in place it was obvious that the whole frame was warped . Ugh . This plastic is so brittle there's no way it can be gently twisted or bent so I started cutting out pieces and making new bracing . It's almost square now , at least it sits flat on my glass work piece . I'll go back to fitting the engine tomorrow .
