Does it have to be styrene, or are resin kits fair game as long as they're OOB?

Is it ok to cut the fenders off? I just want to make the curent toon fenderless. Im not adding anything to the body. If I have a small area to fill in can I use a piece of the fender that was cut off? I haven't built a box stock kit since I was 10 years old and I aint gonna start now...haha.Thanks & Cheers,Smokey

And you CAN cut the fender into pieces and use it however you want , or use a piece of the sprue .

Ok, this sounds like fun! Is it permissible to melt the sprue in poly cement and then use the goop as a filler?
We have an annual competition like this in our club in North Somerset where everyone who wants to take part uses the same kit and sticks it together any which way no rules except it has to be what's in the kit box. We then ask visitors to our annual show to judge their 1st 2nd and 3rd and the club member with the most points wins. No prize money just good fun and kudos. Our competition is called "Peas in a Pod". I made a trophy for it one year from three ping-pong balls and some Scotchbrite pad - great fun.
Kind regards AndyT Somerset UK.
