MOVING THE PLATE...I decided to move the License Plate Housing right below the Spoiler. I am going to use the original Plate Housing for 2 BiG Exhausts. I measured and marked the area for the Recessed Plate Housing. I used a Cut-Off Wheel to cut out the area. I cleaned up the area with a Sanding Stick and an X-Acto Knife. More Coming...

SINK IT!I cut the opening a little too big...so I glued a plastic strip in each side to fill it in. Here is the License opening after sanding the plastic strips down smooth. I will be using 1/4" wide plastic strips to make the Sunken License Plate Housing. Here it is with the plastic strips glued in place. I also glued a piece of plastic on the inside to close off the Housing. More Coming...

LIGHTS!I cut the Headlight Housings off of the Grill Bar and found some 1/16th scale Headlight Lenses that fit pretty good. I painted the Headlight Lenses white. I positioned the Headlights in place and then traced a line around them. Next, I ground off the excess plastic outside of the Headlight Line. More Coming...

SCRIBE and PRIME!I wanted to mention that every time I add a Primer Coat to the Body, I re-scribe the door lines. I use a #11 X-Acto Blade to start lines. The #11 Blade is also very good for making straight lines, by using the edge of the Blade. I also drag to Blade through the door lines backwards to make the line thicker. Then I use different scribes to make the lines even wider. I added some more putty around the taillights and anywhere else that needed it. I applied another coat of filler/primer and a very little more putty. looks like the body work is almost finished! Front Mock-Up! More Coming...

8 TRACKING!I decided to add a Stereo to CAM-AIR and I thought an 8 Track Player would be a Fun choice. It's been over 20 years since I've seen an 8 Track so I Googled some images for reference. I started with a length of Plastic Strip and drilled a hole in each end. Looks like Ala Kart Tail Lights will make Great Knobs! I covered the Strip with Chrome Bare Metal Foil and glued 2 Tail Lights in the holes. I cut another piece of plastic to make an 8 Track Tape. I rounded the edges and sanded it smooth. The 8 Track Tape Titles were made on the printer. I adjusted the Printer Preferences so I could print real small. More Coming...

MMMMMMM...CANDY!Found some old cans of Candy & Metalflake Enamel, so I decided to paint Cam-Air Candy Red! First I sprayed a coat of Flat White over the smooth primer. Then I masked off the White Top. Next I sprayed on a couple coats of Tamiya Siler Leaf. Then I applied Testors Ruby Red Metalflake around the bottom of the body. Last I sprayed a few coats of Testors Candy red over the whole body. It's about a week later and the Candy Enamel is almost dry... More Coming...

Love that Candy Red! Also a really nice fade from dark red to lighter. It's like you really know what you're doing, great planning and execution.
