INTERIOR WALLS!The Interior walls will be made from sheet plastic and covered with Corvette Interior Panels. I marked the Center line on the floor then I marked the lines where the side walls will be positioned. Next I marked the area to be cut out to fit the dashboard. When I cut sheet plastic, I usually use a straight edge and cut along the lines with an X-Acto Knife. I don't cut all the way through, I just run the knife through the cut several times and then I bend the plastic and it breaks off along the Cut Lines. Like cutting Glass. The Dashboard Area has been cut out and here is the first Side Wall cut to size. Here is a Side Wall glued in place. More Coming...

BACK WALL!I cut sheet plastic and fit in place for the Back Wall. Next I cut two triangle shapes to fit between the Side and Back Walls. Here they are in place. More Coming...

WALLS & FLOORBOARD TOO!I Cut & Fit the Front Wall Sections and glued them in. The Floorboard was also done with sheet plastic. The Rear Floor was raised to hold the rear seat at the right position. More Coming...

DOOR PANELS!Using a Cut-Off Wheel and a Dremel Tool, I cut the Door Panels from 2 Corvette Interiors. Here are the Panels after a little cleaning up... Here are the right side Door Panels, cut to fit in the interior. This is a mock-up showing the right side Door Panels in place. More Coming...

WERE-RABBIT DASH!I found this Futuristic Dashboard in the 12th scale Wallace & Grommit Were-Rabbit Truck Kit... I cut down the sides to fit and removed the Dash-Shelf to increase legroom. Here it is glued in place! More Coming...

THE VENTS ARE BACK!There are 8 Vents on the 4 side panels I removed from the 2 Vette Bodies. I am going to fit them into the Vette Jet Body. I used a Cut-Off Wheel in a Dremel Tool to cut out the Vents. Then I cleaned up the cuts with a sanding board. Next I traced the shapes of the Vents on to the rear of the Body. More Coming...

NEW REAR VENTS!I cut along the Marked Lines of the top Vents with a cut-off wheel. Then I cut out the area for the lower Vents. Here are the Vents glued in place. I also applied Squadron Putty to the rough areas. Here are the Vents after I sanded the area down a little bit. More Coming...

NOSE JOB!
I cut 2 little triangular shapes to fill in the sides of the Nose. Here is one of the plastic pieces in place and sanded to fit. Got both sides done. A small detail but it makes a big difference... More Coming...

PRIME TIME!I applied a couple coats of Dupli-Color Grey Filler/Primer. I covered the Headlight Cover Lines with masking tape while adding Putty and Sanding. The lines are as clean as New! Here is the Dashboard in place and Primed. The Primer helped the Vents to blend right in! While I was at it, I went ahead and primed most of the other parts too. More Coming...

BACK SEAT UPGRADE!I decided to make the Interior fit around the Rear Seat better. I cut out 2 triangular shapes of plastic and glued them in as shown. Then I cut out 2 small triangular pieces of plastic to fill in the gaps. Here is the Seat in place. Much Better... More Coming...

WING TEMPLATES!I'm adding Wings to the Vette Jet. I started by cutting out Templates from the back of a pad of paper, any File Card type cardboard will work. I first cut out the basic shape then I started fitting the Template to the side of the Vette. Next I traced the Wing Shape on to sheet plastic, 4 times... I ended up changing the Wing Shape a little more before attaching it to the Vette. More Coming...

VETTE'S GOT WINGS!I glued a length of 1/4 inch wide Plastic Strips, on the sides, to position the rear Wings. I sanded the edges where the Wing Ends come together, for easier gluing. Then I glued the Bottom halves of the Wings on the body, below the Plastic Strips, with Zap-A-Gap, Green Label. I glued the Top halves of the Wings on the body, along the Top of the Strips. I also glued the Wings together on the sides. Then I glued the Wing Halves together along the Front Edge. More Coming...
