FRONT WINGS!I cut 2 Front Wings from .080 Sheet Plastic and glued them in place with Zap-A-Gap Green Label. Notice the Wings are mounted along the main body seam, this saved a lot of body work in that area. More Coming...

UP IN THE AIR!I decided to display the Vette Jet floating above a rectangular base. Here is how it was done... I picked up a 6 foot length of clear 3/16 inch rod from Tap Plastic and a bag of Plastic Tube with a 3/16 inch hole. First I drilled a hole for the Tubing. Then I put some glue on the end of the Tube and slid it into the hole until it touched the inside of the body. Made sure it was straight then I put some Zap-A-Gap around the tubing on the outside of the body. I cut off the tube flush with the body. Here it is with a length of Clear Rod in place. I added another Tube of the same on the front of the Vette. The Base is an AMT Product. I found these Bases in the 12th scale Cord and a 16th scale Corvette. I drilled a hole for the Tubing and glued it in place. I positioned the Tubes inside 2 collars inside the Base. I added a larger Tube around the original to make it more secure. Then I added a small piece of plastic on the end, as a Stop for the Rod. More Coming...

MORE POWER!!!The X-Wing Engines just weren't BiG enough for the Vette. I decided to switch to larger Pod Racer Engines instead. I think 6 Engines from 3 Pod Racer Kits will be enough... I cut the Rear Ends off all 6 Pod Racer Engines. I'll use those Engine Sections for the Vette Jet! I found some large diameter Plastic Tubing to mount the Engines with. I cut 6 lengths of tubing and fit them in the Taillight Holes. Then I cut 6 round pieces of plastic and glued them on the ends of the tubes. This should make Engine Mounting easy. More Coming...

FINS!I decided to add Fins to the Wings. I cut a Fin Template from paper and when I got the shape right I traced the Template on to Plastic. Then I cut out 2 Fins with an X-acto Knife and a Straight Edge. Next I sanded the Edges smooth. Here are the Fins glued in place with Zap-A-Gap. Front View. More Coming...

SIX BIG ONES!I cut 6 lengths of Plastic Tubing and then added a circle of plastic to each end. With a little Sanding and Grinding I got them to fit in the Taillight holes. Next I glued the Tubing to the ends of the Engines. Here is a quick mock-up showing the Engines in place! More Coming...
