Haven't had much bench time the last week but I have been trying a new method of making tire decals and I'm pleased with the results so far . These are pretty good but I think I'll try one more time , then spray some DullCote to get rid of the shine .

Yup: "awesome"! Another smile-inducing update! I have to say, though, now that I see the body all in primer, that I'm a fan of what you did back in this older post ... car-toons.proboards.com/post/8208... in that, while not intentional, the two-color "fade" you had going on, really suits the body's shape. I'm sure you'll have your own ideas on how to paint the body, but in "just throwing out random and unsolicited comments" mode, I'd urge you to think along the lines of that "fade" as one possibility. With one or more colors blending into one another, from front to back, and with custom decals laid on over top of that, I think you'd have a heck of a paint job going on. (Not that you don't already; on the bits that are done!)

(Not that you don't already; on the bits that are done!) maybe an alclad paint with changing color would help. I have done that on my mailbu a couple of years back.. with stripes added on... This is the one I did on and it looks superb. Just throwing in an idea according to wardster. I think it would might stand out a lot! you decide.

Thanks for the paint ideas guys . I appreciate it , but I've already got some decals made up and it's going to be a simple one color paint job . This isn't the color . . . I always use some hillbilly chrome as a barrier on dark colored plastic to prevent it from bleeding through the final paint . I was all out and had to buy a different brand and this actually looks pretty decent , have to make a note of it !

The chassis, engine, wheels, tires, seat, moon & the engine are just right. This little baby just stands out, way out.
