Thanks Jim ! For the scoop I reached into the GoMad box again and grabbed that monster scoop . I started by thinning the two halves . I have this old piece of aluminum with 180 grit paper glued to it . . . it literally took about a minute to remove the material I wanted ! Next I removed a section down the length of the scoop and again sanded it down to the required width .
The last step was to shorten the scoop by about 1/4" and glue the front opening on at an angle . It still needs a little tweaking but you get the idea .

Great tips and tricks, all around! The GoMad's front suspension makes perfect sense, and adds great stance to that kit. Love the "under-hang" (is that a word?) of the front wheels and suspension. That "laminated" blower you made certainly looks the part, too! Great stuff!

Made up a little pulley . I had to lengthen the hood opening 1/4" and I shortened the height of the blower .

Works for me! All that effort paid off. The blower and scoop are a big improvement!

After seeing some of these Polar Lights snappers here, I want to get a few of them myself! This Willys is looking great. I really like the improved look of the rear fenders and how the car looks with the GoMad front suspension and larger front tires. Looking forward to seeing this one all finished.

Have you thought about angling back the rear of the front fender wheel openings a bit to better echo the shape of the tires? Just a thought.

Coming along great. The x-tra attention to detail in the mods works really well!
