A while ago I got a couple of those really cool front bumpers from Starryeyes but as usual have no idea where I put them ! I'm sure in a few months I'll come across them in a kit somewhere . So for now I'm gonna make a couple of my own with some spares that I have . I'm using the left one on this build so after stripping the chrome I removed a section from the center and pinned it back together . I'm going to reshape the ends a bit so it fits the body better then spray some Alcad .

Am enjoying this! Its fun to work on this nomad. This wheel sure suits well with the car and you can feel the speed as it roars off... Bumper adjustment looks great!

Did a quick mock-up last night to see what I've got so far . When I first put the front bumper on it looked kind of odd to me , like it was nose heavy , so I've been moving the front tire around trying to balance it out . This is about the best I can get it without doing more body work so I'll keep moving forward on this . . . times running out !

Looking good! Making it coordinately is time consuming but sure pays off in the end. Adjusting from realistic to cartoonism is challenging, especially the bumper. Looking forward to completion.

Looking good!
Maybe shaving the rubber bumper bullets would "lighten" the bumper just enough:

Hmmm . . . it's worth a try . I still have the other bumper that can be narrowed , shouldn't take long to find out !

Bob, You're doing a really nice job. You could trim the front of the hood trim piece in towards the headlights a bit, then trim off the back side of the bumper near the bullets and slide the whole bumper towards the front tire. Trim the back of the bumper near the tire and that might do the trick.
I think it looks great as is, it's a cartoon! It's got that frog eye look which gives it character. I'd leave it just the way it is.

Just put an overly long snorkel scoop on the hood and emphasize the forward jutting front end.

I've already trimmed the backside of the bumper behind the bullets and removed about 1/8" from the ends so the whole bumper is moved back , then I shaved the entire bottom edge about 1/16" to reduce the heavy look . I might do some more like you suggest or I might leave it like it is , it's growing on me !

Oh-my...Sittin' it on all fours with that that big arss front bumper gives me a new perspective of it. Now it needs a trailer hitch, ball, bumper sticker on back or those little 60's decals of the states that it visited in the quarter windows. Haha...I'm gonna change your name to Toogood soon. haha...

Beautiful weather has arrived on Florida's Suncoast , so along with getting some yard work done the next few days I'm also going to get some painting in . Stopped by the LHS this morning and picked up a few colors for several projects I have sitting here . Pics coming soon !
