Well gang THIS didn't make it in time for the 1st Car-toon Contest so I'm shooting for the "Fun in the Sun Car-toon Contest" !! .... His name is "Suicide Sam".... The whackiest insane surf rider on the planet.. He enjoys his "adult" beverages on the way to the beach on a smoking single wheel.. Defying all laws put in place by the judicial system to keep men, women, and children safe... !!! Once under the influence of his "adult" beverage(s) he's the Rico suave' of the open surf - the king of swing... It's Suicide Sam the most unprofessional, irresponsible Tsunami tidal wave busting maniac !! BEWARE ! he's a photo bombing ham with beer in hand and never leaves home without his overgrown surfboard ! Surf's up dude!!!

Note the whimsy 6 inch surfboard on the left... It' was time to MAN UP and use a board to distinguish that Suicide Sam is in fact a camera hogging surf maniac... Therefor on the right we find the 17" MANLY board... !!!.. This board was made possible by a very good friend GrampaMcGurk... I received this well over a year ago from my pal Don.. Thanks for having my 6 brother !! It's going to a perfect build !!

Suicide Sam appears to be a little parched ... Thus he thinks it's ALREADY "beer:30"....

ok.. moving along today ... a quick fitment check.. then on to removing all low and high aeras on the 17" long surfboard...      a little 3M application..  some sanding ..  After the first application I sanded smooth then applied a thin coat of automotive primer.. this will be sanded then another thin layer of 3M spot putty applied to work out any remaining low areas...

A little more accomplished today !! I drilled and pinned Suicide Sam to his wheel... I'm going to make some type of pegs or crank for his feet to rest on ...

Well Bob.. I use mostly acrylic paints for my figures.. also clear coats for things like eyeballs.. satin and dull coat for others.. the majority of paint of choice is "Citadel".. lots of base colors, and shades to chose from .. still an occasional enamel and lacquer, and urethane kandy colors is used depending on subject matter ..

thanks for all the kudos gang... As my pal GrampaMcGurk knows I'm slowly coming out of a modeling hiatus... I've been laying low looking for just the right project to bring me out of my slump...time for a little smoothing of the arm / shoulder ares this evening and a little more spot putty and primer on the surfboard... More later !

Yeah man, thats a given. The dreaded burn-out gets us all at one time or another........but it eventually leads to withdrawal and the only "fix" for that is to start beating some more plastic into submission.
