My name is Bob and I'm 59 years old . I grew up in southern California but I've lived in Florida for my entire adult life . I'm retired Air Force and I also had a second career as Chief Engineer and R&D Engineer for a Cobra Manufacturer . I'm semi-retired now and enjoying my spare time building all those models that I loved as a kid ! I build mainly cars that I remember growing up with in the 60's , but I'm really hooked on these cartoon type of models . They're such a blast to build ! I was also a single Dad back when nobody ever heard of such a thing . And I'm not big on having my picture taken but during my son's last visit to Florida he snapped a few photos of me . So here for the first time in more than 20 years is my ugly mug ! And he actually caught me working ! Hmmmmmm . . . that hair looks familiar . . .

That one is checked off my list !! Next when I retire / semi-retire I WILL be sporting a ponytail !!!

Hi Everyone. My name is Keith Chambers and I have been a member since July 2012. I retired in July 2017 and now live in Granbury, Texas. Two heart attacks and triple bi-pass heart surgery convinced me to retire for go this time. Now that I'm re-retired, I still haven't found time to build all these models. I sold off about $5K of my collection before moving from Odessa. I built all kinds of models as a kid but didn't discover Deal's Wheels until about 20 years ago when I joined "ePay". I collected all of them I could find; sealed, new, built, junk, for several years. Some I've never built because they haven't reissued them. Then a friend, Tres Wright, introduced me to the Egg Planes. I went all Egg-Zilla on them and the best part was a lot looked like Deal's art and they were still manufacturing them! And, they were a whole lot cheaper too. So I amassed a collection of over 500 of them at one point. Now, I guess that's my thing. I can't build them stock anymore. There's no challenge in that. Like tooold, I try to find ways to make 'em better. I have more models than I can build if I live to be 150. Most of my Deal's Wheels came from ePay, where I had the honor of out bidding everyone and paying too much. Even though I may not post many DW kits, it doesn't mean I don't absolutely appreciate all the DW and TD kits you guys build. There are some fantastic builders on this board and a really great guy administratin' it! Keep up the good work Bestie.
