Hi all, my name's Tim Jones and I come from Oldbury, about 4 miles from Birmingham, England. I've been building for a good many years, mostly cars and aircraft. I have built a few toons and have a few more in the stash. Having recently taken early retirement I'm planning on getting more bench time in than I did before. Welcome Tim ! I too recently hit the retirement button and enjoying life on MY schedule for a change !! Looking forward to seeing some of your work my friend .. a bunch of great people here with lots and lots of talent and tips .. here's hoping you enjoy the site ! Cheers ! Better late than never, but here is my run down.
My name is Steve Hammann (aka Hoosier Daddy from my one year stint living in Indiana trying to make a living)
I am also a proud member (along with 'ol Starry Eyed Chuck) of the FBI (Fast Boys from Illinois)
I have been a member of the Showrod Rally almost since day one and migrated over here a few years back because of some of the members that are here.
I live in Carlinville, IL. Yes it IS the ONLY-EST Carlinville anywhere in the world. Look it up, I wouldn't lie to you about a thing like that.
In a prior life, I spent 18 years in commercial long haul communications. For the last 12 years I have been a Communications Engineer for the
Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and we provide communications for all who fall under the Department of Defense.
Been building since 9 or 10 years of age. Been in a slump for the past 10 years, but maybe again one day after I retire. I'll be 62
next day after Christmas so I am getting close. Might even be persuaded to join in on a contest or two.

I retired a year ago December and busier now specializing in commercial golf course cutting unit sharpening and repair for area wide golf courses ! I’ve been 35 minutes from your house numerous times !! Remember September 29th / Carrollton Illinois on the square .. “Hooligan Havoc” .. my carclub (Hooligans) Illinois Chapter - not fit profit fund raiser for special needs children... hope to see you there !! |

I'm patwix1 from Buckingham UK I'm only just 73 last month and have been building models since the age of 8 years, I enjoy these types of models when I can get them in the UK, to import them now from the USA is somewhere around $40! I also build race cars (circuit) and rally cars. Pickup trucks and sand/dune/beach buggies.
